The Joyful Journey of Life!

"Love the moment
and the energy of the moment
will spread beyond all boundaries".

Life is so joyful
and wonderful!

Most people would look at my life and wonder how it could be joyful as
...I still have Christmas up,
...I have a room full of "piles" of organizing that needs done,
...my car has "Winter Car Syndrome" in that it hasn't been vacuumed for months and the outside is so dirty from all of the "road grime" that you could write your name in it,
...
I have a basket in the laundry room full of clean socks that need mated together and put away and just this morning I had to rummage through it to find socks for Ethan to wear to school today,
...I have a big pile of laundry that needs ironed on my ironing board,
...my fridge desperately needs cleaned and gone through,
...my pantry is in serious need of an overhaul after the busyness of the holidays and things just getting "put wherever anyone feels like putting it,
...my kitchen floor hasn't been mopped in over a month, etc...

Each day I have SO many happy moments
that the rest of the things listed above don't seem to bother me as much.

Here are moments
from
February 1st that just made me smile

...I came home to a love note from Mr. Smith.
Oh what a wonderful thing it is to feel loved and appreciated every day of my life!

...The first words my 15 year old son Jade told me when he came in the door were:
"Hi Mom, I sure do love you"!

...I have a 7 year old son Ethan that wants to follow me around the house and talk to me and tell me stories and help me with whatever I'm doing and if I sit down, he snuggles right beside me.
Those precious moments--which I'm savoring!

...I find Star Wars toys by the couch because Ethan pulled them out as he was watching "The Empire Strikes Back".

...Tracy came across a FUN internet radio site...
"Groove Shark"
and came home and created a quick playlist and we "Grooved" and danced to FUN music while we fixed dinner

And some other memorable moments:

The Drought is over
During the winter our sweet little chickens go through a 5-6 week "molting" and so it means we don't get any eggs during that time. I have had to plan our meals closely to stretch our egg supply that we had and YAY they just started laying again and now we have a large container full of eggs again.

It Snowed!
Snow = Earth Gym =
Kimmie gets exercise

I had a good 1-1/2 hour workout shoveling our driveway out so it was all done when Tracy got home. Jade was an awesome helper as well. I try and shovel the driveway when it snows so that we can ENJOY doing fun things with Tracy when he gets home. Besides, he's put in a long day and the last thing he should have to do is to come home and work even harder doing shoveling.
I very much enjoy the "Earth Gym".

****************************
And I can hardly stand it
because tonight I get to snuggle on the couch with my Sweetie and watch the Season Premiere of my favorite show...
LOST

YES, I have to admit that it truly is all of the
little moments that make life SO BIG and so memorable!

"To finish the moment, to find the journey's end in every step of the road, to live the greatest number of good hours is wisdom".

I knew all of the songs on your playlist! Woot!

And double woot for Lost! We'll be watching it after the kids go to bed DVR'd though! :)

Kimmie... NO ONE can do it all.
If your organized.. clean.. a great cook.. a perfect mother... it doesn't matter.. no one person is EVERYTHING. We are so hard on ourselves.. and your right.. we all need to have the attitude of "I'm Happy"... and we have full lives!
I have realized this a whole lot this past week... Does it matter if my kids eat cold cereal for a week while I spent time with my Dad? No.. they won't die.

We all are BUSY-BUSY in life.. and I even need the reminder somedays to count the things I DID accomplish.. rather than the things I didn't.

Tracy is so great to give you so many love-notes. He for sure is a great guy for you! :)

~ And we would be EXCELLENT neighbors. I could clean and organize for you ( except for ironing.. I don't iron ) and you can make us some yummy treats! :) -aka- Coconut pie. mmmmm. he-he

PS: I want to see your bathroom re-do! Pictures please??

I love your sweet attitude about winter and earth gym. I have been stuck with the shoveling since my better half has been in Mankato for the last two weeks. I'm afraid I don't have the sweet attitude as you.

Glad you are snuggling while you are "LOsT" I never got into that one. NCIS is my only "have to see"

The awesome thing about housework....they'll still be there when you are ready....kids won't.

Barbara Channey (Grandma's neighbor way back when) always leaves Christmas decor up until Valentines Day. I still have my Christmas village up. I know the feeling with the "piles", mine are "big mounds" though. Cheryl said I have two rooms that are at 0%-Yikes! I love the term "earth gym" and I love that Tracy writes you love notes everyday!-so sweet! Oh, BTW, do you guys have Cole's car seat? I forgot to ask Cheryl what happened to it.

Kimmie - We live life much the same way. I do not fret about the house. I keep my house clean but it is not perfect - I totally believe there are much more important things.
If I don't get the socks matched up because one of my boys wants to play a game or read a book, or I doing something with Kurke then too bad they stay unmatched - LOL!

It is a wonderful thing to have a romantic husband!! Oh to feel the love. I love how he writes you a special note each day! (Tracy has good handwriting too :D).

I only knew half the songs on your playlist - I think we are the decade before you - ha ha!!!

I love your earth gym! You know that I am working on an exercise plan right now. I think yours is a great one. We just have not had enough snow around here.

Kimmie you are such an inspiration to all women everywhere - we would all do well to follow your example in so many areas!!

I'm so happy to call you my friend :D

Wow- You are amazing Kimmie. I love your chickens. Our neighbors have chickens and we enjoy those fresh eggs whenever they bring some over.
I know how it feels to be so overwhelmed. But in this long journey of life. I think we can just take a seat every once in a while and breath a little.

We enjoyed Lost last night also. I think this is going to be a very interesting season.

AWESOME POST! So much in it! I'm sad to say I didn't know all the songs on your playlist. I think I need to get into Muse--I hear tons about them these days. Also, Ladyton? No idea. Love the eggs. We get farm fresh eggs and milk and I feel great about it! You're so lucky you have chickens of your very own. That' so cool. I did chuckle at Christmas still being up! I have a few lingering things as well...too high to reach! Thanks for a cheerful read....
