The month of June brings No Bake Treats...

"What is one to say about June,
the time of perfect young summer,
the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months,
and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade".
~Gertrude Jekyll

Ahhh...June is upon us...
it's getting warmer outside, flowers and trees are blooming. In Tracy's and my opinion, it is truly the most perfect month of the year!

June also means it's time to make one of Tracy's all time favorite treats...
that of  No Bake Cookies
(the best part is getting to be on the one that licks the pan after you are done)
AND, it means we can have a treat and not have to heat up the house.

So decadent and chocolatey,
the perfect texture...
not too dry, not too gooey, but just right.

No Bake Cookies
1 cube butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup dry cocoa powder
1 large wooden spoonful peanut butter
1-1/2 cups rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a large pan.
Boil for 1-1/2 minutes at a "Full" rolling boil.
Remove from heat.
Add in vanilla and peanut butter until smooth
then add in rolled oats.
Mix quickly until all ingredients are dissolved.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool.
I store mine in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator.

Enjoy!
Great treat that makes mouths
of young and old happy!
