“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”

"Happy New Year"!
“Ring out the old; ring in the new.
Ring happy bells, across the snow
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true".
When I was younger, I didn't understand that song. Now it's one of my favorites! You have had a great year making memories with your family! You are an inspiration to me to simplify and capture each moment!
ReplyDeleteI hope this new year will be one filled with love, peace and opportunities for you and your family!
Happy New Year Kimmie!!!! You have definitely enriched my life...and tummy with yummy recipes!

2009 was a wonderful year. I loved all the reminiscing and I'm glad I was part of it following your blog. I have really enjoyed all the knowledge to be a better mother, to be a better cook, knowing that family is everything as well as the gospel with your Sunday messages. You are an awesome woman and it made my year much better cyber "knowing" you. I can't wait for the next year and all the wonderful things that await us.
ReplyDeleteAfter Sandra (this Small House) told us to read the January, 2010 Ensign article by Jeffrey R. Holland that I hadn't read yet... it made me hopeful for the future. I've kept telling my children this, but it's great to realize the truthfulness of that faith. The best is yet to come!
Happy New Year!
What a great year for you!!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember when we met.. what month it was that we started reading each others blogs.. but I remember all of these posts! What fun blogging is -- being inspired by each other.. learning new things.. and in the meantime.. we are journaling! Soo cool!
Thanks for your friendship.. and your inspiration.. and your recipes! XO
I have to agree, it was a good year! It's been such a treat reading about you and your family. You are so darn positive. And have such a love for your family. It's really fun to see.
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting this year to be another good one!!!
Have a great day.
Sandra
What a wonderful year in review! It's funny that I've only just met you but as I read this post I chuckled that I knew about most all of those events from reading your blog! Funny how someone who was unknown to me only months ago now posts pictures that are familiar to me...that doesn't even make sense but hopefully you get what I mean. I just find it amazing that I remember those things but last year I didn't even know you. Crazy. It's nice how the internet has made the world smaller...I love it. I love your blog and your outlook on life. You inspire me with your positive, happy perspective. I'm so happy to know you.
ReplyDeleteKimmie Happy Happy New Year!!
