"I go to nature
to be soothed and healed
and to have my senses put in order".

I am getting SO excited to be able to head to mountains and enjoy our summer hiking trips! This photo was taken on the Teton Crest Trail (Death Canyon Shelf) in Grand Teton National Park. (August 2006) The wild flowers were SO beautiful that year! There is nothing more amazing than being up at 10,000 plus feet elevation, walking on a foot path with wildflowers up to your thighs/waist, taking in breathtaking scenery!
To be in this place means you have to be willing to invest a few days of putting one foot in front of the other. That is part of what makes secluded spots like this so special to me.

It feeds my soul
to be out in the beauty of nature
enjoying all of the
wonderful creations on this
beautiful earth that we live on!!

Even though I have been sneezing a ton, I have been enjoying the change in the weather. Ths sun really does nurish our souls after a long cold winter.
ReplyDeleteI love and appreciate nature so much! We LOVE camping, hiking, rafting, exploring and the rewards are second to none!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful picture of wildflowers and the Tetons are so amazing.
I really really love art also but when you hike somewhere really beautiful like this and see what Heavenly Father has put on the earth it is more priceless than all the finest art in the world!
I havent been to the Tetons yet.. But there is SO much beauty in this land! I am amazed in Utah how much there is to explore, and I am just getting around to it -- even though I've always lived here!
ReplyDeleteWe are a Nature family too.. But every year I tell myself I won't tent it again! We really want a trailer.. but it's going to be WAY down the line.....
BTW: ON my following reader, a scent post is showing but when I click on it --it says it doesn't exist..
Happy Sunday!
I'm with you! And I to am getting excited to go out and enjoy it!!
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here right now. It will be nice when the sun comes out and decides to stay.
Have a great day.
